Most steroid cycles contain drugs that have a predisposition to aromatization, that is, the conversion of androgens into estrogens. As a result of an excess of female hormone, the results get worse and side effects occur.
Anastrozole is used in Post Cycle Therapy for the purpose of:
- Prevent gynecomastia;
- To increase the level of anabolic hormones in the blood;
- Improve the external qualities of the muscles;
- Eliminate the symptoms of hypertension;
- To reduce the suppression of the axis of the hypothalamus-pituitary-testes.
Ten days after using the steroid cycle, the athlete should be tested for estradiol. The doctor then prescribes an individual dosage of Anastrozole. The average dosage is 0.5 mg (every other day). After 10 more days, repeated delivery of blood on an estradiol is carried out. Based on the test results, the dose may be adjusted.

According to reviews and many studies, the lack of estrogen in men leads to inhibition of muscle growth, pain in the joints, reduced bone strength, increased bad cholesterol, decreased libido and manifestation of depression. Thus, it is not necessary to overestimate the dose of Anastrozole in order to maintain the normal balance of androgens and estrogens.
