Lasix is a powerful diuretic that is one of the most powerful diuretics. The drug is listed as a banned substance for athletes. Nevertheless, Lasix remains one of the most sought after means in sports.
The drug solves two main tasks:
- Removes traces of prohibited substances from the body. But, as mentioned above, it is a prohibited drug.
- Used to reduce weight and remove excess fluid.
After ingestion, Lasix comes into action fairly quickly. The effect occurs after about 15-30 minutes. There are strong urges to urinate. The volume of outgoing fluid is proportional to the sensations. The effect lasts for 3-4 hours. Calcium, magnesium and potassium are washed out of the body.
Each medicine has side effects, but Lasix has a lot of them. In addition to diarrhea, urticaria, itching, vomiting, tremor, headache, weakness, visual and hearing impairment, the drug may be accompanied by the following negative effects:
- Hypokalemia or lack of potassium;
- Decrease in the volume of the circulating blood;
- Possible muscle cramps, including the heart muscle.
